Terms and conditions of sale
This is my condensed version of the general information section of the
Blue Sterling Nursery catalog. Please use it as a guideline only.
Qualified purchasers
All customers must possess and provide a copy of a valid nursery dealers license.
Minimum order
Blue Sterling Nursery has no minimum order for pick up! For delivery of plant
material they do require at least a $1000.00 order. Orders for less than this
amount may be possible if close to another delivery. A drop charge will
be
added.
Delivery
All plant material is delivered ONLY on decked trucks to ensure the safe arrival
of your plant material. The plants arrive in perfect condition ready to be placed
directly on you lot for sale!
New Jersey is a long way from IN, MI, OH, and KY. Please don't tell me you
can get a full truckload of plants from a neighboring state for $600.00
So can I....all day long. That driver makes at least 5 runs a week. The Blue
Sterling truck and driver are gone about a week when delivering in this area.
You should not receive broken or smashed plants or have claim headaches and
shipping costs are fixed and firm. You will not pay one penny
more than you
are quoted! How many of you have been quoted 20% from the East or West
coast and then got billed for much more? I hear about it every year from my
customers! Please see shipping costs and claims for more important information.
 Acknowledgments
Order acknowledgments are mailed as soon
as possible. For specific questions concerning
your order or plant availability please contact
me directly.
Cancellations
Please order what you intend to purchase.
If you find it necessary to adjust your order
please do so by December 15th. This will
allow us to offer the material at the January
trade shows.
Volume Discounts
Prices are net.
Credit Application
A credit application is available by request. All
orders are shipped COD unless
a properly signed credit application is received, processed, and approved.
Blue Sterling's terms are net 30 days to established accounts. Advance payment
may be required for some accounts. After 30 days Blue Sterling's patience has
run out and so has your future credit with them!!! They want to grow plants not
run a bank....and they mean it.
Claims
Generally I have very few credit requests on Blue Sterling stock. Since
all delivery
trucks owned by Blue Sterling and are returning to the nursery, claims are a snap. If
you receive plant material you are unhappy with leave it on the truck. Send it back
to the nursery. Make note of the problem on your shipping paperwork. Check with
the nursery or me if you have questions. If you are unhappy.....send the plant
back.
