Trade shows
A good place to learn and grow.

This is a list of the trade shows I usually attend every year. There are many more regional and
local shows too. Check the trade magazines for additional shows.

Illinois Mid America Horticultural Trade Show, Inc.
Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois
Booths 1155,1156
Contact: Suzanne Spohr - (847)-526-2010
MID-AM 2001 - January 17-19
A great show that brings in people from all over the country. Well organized and professional. The best part is the great Chicago food. The downside - Chicago is expensive and everyone gets a tip. Have a handful of $1 bills ready!
Indiana Indiana Nurserymen and Landscape Assoc.
Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome, Indianapolis, IN.
Contact: Paul L. Williams- (800) 443-7336 INLA-PLANTS 2001 - January 11-12
The Indiana show has had its ups and downs. The Association has really done a great job in recent years and exhibitors are returning in great numbers. I never left. Lots of continuing education credits to be had here for applicator license renewals.
Kentucky Kentucky Landscape Industries
Winter Conference and Trade Show
350 Village Drive
Frankfort, Kentucky 40601
800-735-9791
KLI Winter show 2001 - January 9-10
A nice small show in Lexington with a local feel. You will discover many small growers you could not find elsewhere. Lexington is a great city and this is your excuse to visit.
Michigan Great Lakes Trade Expo
Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association
Lansing Center, Lansing, Michigan
Contact: Amy Frankmann-(800)-879-6652
GLTE 2001- January 9-10
The nursery industry in Michigan is strong and so is this show. Great education sessions an speakers. A huge exhibition floor.
MNLA

This is a good summer show. The garden has many unique features you should see.

CENTS 2001 - January 22 to 24
This is a powerful show with almost 5 acres of show space. The Ohio State University offers a Nursery Short Course that is hard to beat. Many well know speakers are featured. This is a show worth your attention.
NGLCO Summer Field Day

This Northern Ohio show is a winner. Plan on attending. Say to hi to Carol for me... I have many close friends at their nursery.
